I have a 1970 M35A2. Truck was running great it would crank up right away. Just finished a parade with it stopped the truck. I went back about 1/2 hour later to crank it up and all it would do is spin over. Pulled truck home have checked a few things out from what i have read on here. The fuel tank has about a 1/2 tank of diesel in it. I have changed the hose on the uplift pump in the tank was bad. When I turn switch on uplift pump is working i am getting fuel all the way to hydraulic head. I have checked and pulled the shut down switch apart and reinstalled it. I removed the the plug in the center of the hydraulic head the plunger is moving up and down and fuel comes out. Reinstalled plug in center of Hydraulic head and proceeded to crank engine still no fuel to injector lines. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Often when I pull the fuel system apart, the trucks need a quick snort of starting fluid to get them going again.

Kinda like coffee in the morning.

Take the window cover off the side of the fuel injector pump, this is the cover to which the STOP cable line is connected. Verify that the movable tang, to which the STOP cable is connected to, is moving freely left and right. fasten a rubber band to this tang in such a way as to have the tang positioned towards the radiator. Try to start the engine, and be pre[pared to unfasten the rubber band in case the engine " runs away"...Have erags in the ready in case the engine runs, and you cant stop it by removing the rubber band. This procedure is best accomplished with two troopers...Keep us posted...
