Yeah I had re-read the whole thread several times. I am still a little lost on the support set up in a later truck. My understanding is there is a ring that drops in and the roof is the actual support...and the slewing ring bolts to that support ring? but I am coming short on pics and how that looks... (of course I might be in and missing the obvious!)

And the truck I bought doesn't really have any pics of the roof, so that doesn't help.
