Hi,
I have problems with the differentials of my M35A2.
They need to be overhauled or new ones.
How about the prices for repair kits or new ones?
The vehicle was not used to long time so the bearings are gone.
Is there anyone who has done something before?
Arnold,

Used units are easy to find and are cheep! No need to try fixing your's, it would cost to much in parts alone.
In the States, it would be no problem in finding good used units, I don't know about in Germany.

Thank you for your reply,
here in germany there are no parts left for a good price. The dealers here and in the
netherlands want a lot of money, because they know that you need the parts to
drive.
Also, since germany soldiers where not in the iraq-war with the other nations,
it is not possible to buy used parts from the US here.
Some years ago, I buyed all I needed from DRMO.
All vehicles here that where set off duty must be scrapped.

Arnold,
It is not that common for bearings to go bad in differentials that are in a vehicle that is not being used, unless perhaps water has gotten inside the differential housings, and even in this case I am surprised. I have had many vehicles that have not been driven for 20 - 30 years and have not had any differential problems. I have drained and refilled the differentials and repacked the wheel bearings and that is all. It is also not very common to have multiple differentials fail simultaneously. What are the symptoms of your failing differentials?

Bearings and seals are available all over here in the US. What is your problem? If its pinion related, that might be hard to get, but wheel bearings and seals should be available from ODIron or Ericks military supply.
