Diode in glow plug circuit ?

Hi folks, this is my first post. I’m working on an1986 M1008
I did a little research and could not find my answer.
There is a 0583 diode that appears to be in the pink glow plug wire next to the fire wall?.. can you folks help me pin point what this is and what it is used for? I don’t belive it is original, so I’m wondering what is this diode in please of? From what I can tell It has the original style glow plugs and it has not been converted to 12V.

Identified! - Plug behind intake manifold M1009 - water in fuel diode

While I was pulling the intake manifold, noticed a old duct-tape wrapped block taped to the back of the wiring harness. Pulled it, Looks melted, two pins, folded over with burn marks. Any idea what this is?

Water in fuel diode. Good Luck with your CUCV. That is NOT part of the glow plug system. Be Safe and Take Care.
