i changed my distributor cap and the old one does not have the spring that touches the coil HT side,like the new one does.it seams to run a little bit better with the new one.how does it run without the spring making direct contact,the jeep had a slight miss with the old one now with the new one installed the miss has gone away.any input would be appreciated .this is new to me .i am just learning this electical stuff.
