I'm not 100% sure...but I'm pretty sure they don't. There has been talk of people putting a 939 tcase in an 809... But I'm not sure if anyone has actually done it.

Guys,
The 800's and the M39 series have air shift sprag selection. No air shift for front axle drive UNLESS the air system modification has be done that allows neutral or front drive.
The same only different from the 2-1/2 air shift.

The transmission is standard shifting, but there are air valves on the first/reverse shift rail that direct air to the cylinder on the transfer that selects forward or reverse sprag. The air system modification is to cut-off the air to the selector valves which puts the front drive in neutral. Without this modification the transfer is always in forward or reverse, depending on the shift rail position.
