Dodge WC54 transmission swap.

[FONT=&quot]The transmission in my WC-54 is pretty worn out. I am not the only one who drives the truck, and some of the family has not fully grasped the art of double clutching... My question is, is it possible to take the transmission out of a Dodge M-37 and use that? I will keep my old transmission and probably have it rebuilt for a spare. I would really like to keep the truck as original as possible. Will the transmission just drop right in? Or is this a lot harder of a swap then I had thought?

Had a 56 VW with a '49 crash box and did teach the wife to drive it.
At that stage it may have had 24 HP.
It was either learn how to drive it or there would be not enough food.
