Doing the head gaskets.

A friend is paying me to do the head gasket since I have more time than he does. I already chased the threads for the head bolts. He asked me if I chased the Threads to the intake manifold. Never thought of it before really. Never had a problem in the past. Doesn't need to be done? Thanks

I have never done that because they are low temp, clean and your are putting same fasteners back in.

I have had my intake off twice,did not chase the threads either time. Bolts came out and back in with no problems. Anti seize is your friend.
