Hi,

Greetings from overseas Belgium.
Does anybody know if a dome light has ever been originally installed in the cabin of the M35A2?
Where are the rifle mountings installed?

regards,

Chris

I don't believe there was an issued dome light in the standard duece. The gun mount is left of the glove compartment and is vertical. Army Surplus Warehouse had them for under 10$ last I looked.

I have seen some guys on Steel Soldiers wire in a armor dome light into the cab of their deuce. Looks stock if the installation is well done. The armor light is square, available from Austin Weber on eBay (ID is beltfed34).

In the Army we put those armored vehicle square lights in all sorts of trucks for interior lighting.. 1 wire for voltage, and the body was the ground. Very easy to install and operate.

For conducting brain surgery, no.. For finding something in the cab, the white light section is plenty bright... Dont expect it to illuminate the whole cab, but it's better than nothing....
