I am looking at a 1009 thats in fairly good condition. However, the owner has not started the vehicle in 2 years, any recomendations on starting her up?

Get the owner to do the cranking. That way if it blows, it's his vehicle and you owe nothing.

make sure it has oil and trans fluid, mine started with a little help from either after 4 years. the more i drove it the better in ran, the trans would'nt shift at first, but now its fine. changing the fluids first would be best if you can. my 2 cents.
