Well I have to say that SS is awesome and that is because of its Members!! SEVO had a deuce to recover at Ft. Jackson on Monday and I also wanted to pick up my deuce from him that I have been 
over. So I headed up to Columbia, SC from Augusta, GA in early am. (any time before 9am is early to me cause I work 2nd shift) Got up there and we prep his Deuce for recovery. Then we load up and stop at McD's for a biscuit before we hit the Base. Hit the base and got to GL, and Tim there at Jackson is awesome, we signed in and were escorted down. Chris hooped in and turned it over after a quick walk around and she fired right up!!!!!! let air build up and pulled out enough to hook towbar up and in less than 30min we are pulling out and waving bye to Tim! We got back to Chris's house and put other deuces up and started playing with mine! After finding out some things needed to still be squared away before I make the trek home we end up with 4 guys on her trying to beat the clock to beat the sun! Murphy was trying to kick our ass but I was determined to kick back!! I wanted to get her home in my driveway instead of Chris's house and hour and a half away! So Chris and other guys keep working on her to make sure lights and brakes are good and all fluids are topped off. I head home in my car so my wife can bring me back and follow me home. I had not thought about the batteries on the deuce until Chris calls when I am on my way back and says that she slaves off great and drives great but will not have enough juice if she shuts down between his house and mine to crank back up. We figure the ride home will charge enough and I am daring Murphy now!! So we show up at Chris's house around 8pm and sun is setting on us. So it looks like we are going back in the dark! Well at least the lights work! (better than wifes lincoln towncar which lost all turn and hazard functions on this journey, turn on blinker and headlights go out!!??????!! that could be another post ) So here we are rolling down the interstate and my wife is trying to get my attention after about and hour or so and then I grab my phone and she has been trying to call. She needs to pull over to let my daughters go potty and we are in the middle of nowhere. So we get off and I leave deuce running and kids go potty!! I am walking around truck while it idles and feeling axles and looking for leaks and other signs. All was good except for aft right axle was hotter than others and from what I have read on here in other threads it is most likely the brakes stuck with enough friction to cause a bind. I could not feel any pull though. So kids are back wife gives thumbs up and we are off again! All air and oil pressure looks good. I was pondering the speedo from the get go. It shows me doing like 70 cause it has wrapped around almost to 6 o'clock position. it comes down as I slow so it is not stuck but it is not affecting preformance. so I watch tach and keep it at 2.5k and watch it. I must have a very small air leak in brake system we noticed before adventure started a faint hiss as brakes applied near fwd right tire. Brakes have to be pumped a little before good braking is available. Although she will stop without pumping but it stops better with about 3 good pumps. We get home at about 11pm and I feel like I am waking the neighborhood as I back the deuce down driveway and put it in its new spot! I shut her down and for grins try and crank her back up but she only gives me the accessory lights and very dim. So I turn everything off and say it is time to get kids to bed and leave it till morning. Got up and checked batts and both batteries have very little charged. So a gather two trickle chargers and disconnect batts and start charging. I just got home from work and checked them. They should be charged by morning at the rate they are now. Both are almost 12v now. one was 11 and other 10.5! so maybe we can crank her up tomorrow and I can drive her around!! Well this was long post and full of useless details and no major hangups or goofs (except some items to be left unsaid by me while getting her ready to drive home!) Murphy and I are now even so he has left me alone for now and gone on to someone elses for today! He might come back but I hope he isn't coming back soon!!
