Drag Link--How Tight?

Tighter than that! Is it loose at the end you just had apart? Did you put the ball socket back in the correct direction?(cup to ball)

Are you talking about the draglink or the pitman arm? If it is the draglink, didn't you just have it off to repair your steering gear box? Are both ends loose?

I did not take it off the Pitman Arm. It is as purchased. I assume both ends are loose, if moving it vertically means it is loose.

I do not have as much experience with loose drag links as I do habeas corpus.

It sounds like you need to dissasemble each end and clean and grease them then reassemble them correctly. The info you need is in TM 9-2320-361-20. Section 9,page 9-18.
