I just picked up my 15kW genset on a trailer. One of the tires is destroyed. They are Dunlop SP160's size says 10R22.5. I've had a hard time finding a replacement tire, which leads to this question: Can't I just replace both single wheels with some duals? I think the duals would have several advantages, not the least of which I could get them in a size that someone actually carries. Any opinions on a way forward? It seems like the wheels and hub combo are very rare, which only means difficulty in the future when I need to change them out.

You could put it on 20” m35a2 wheels (lock ring style for tube type tires), they will sit further in though. Because of the axle width duals can be over the legal road width without oversize permits.

I’d check for a more common 22.5 tire size and replace both if you’re not able to find 10r22.5s.

10r22.5s are not that uncommon or go with a 255 70 r 22.5 if want to make it shorter and replace both
