I'd get the black silicone boots from boyce!

Forget the solids, gotta pull everything off! They tear too. Then you gotta pull everything off again. Get the zipper style. Takes four hands to do it. Takes less than an hour. Or get the solids and pull your hub assembly off and repack the bearings, change your inner and outer axle seals.
