East Coast Deuce Suppliers

Well, My M1031 is coming along slowly, but I am still looking for a good deuce. With the 1031, and a bunch of other projects on my plate, I want to find a deuce that doesn't need significant work. I'm seriously considering buying from a dealer. This will (hopefully) reduce the complaints from my wife about the appearance of the truck, and my spending all my time working on it.

Finding the right, reputable source is important to me. I'd like at least a short warranty.

So, what experience do you guys have with the dealers in the eastern half of the US? What kind of condition was the truck in when you bought it? Did you have any problems, and if so, were they resolved. What should I watch out for?

There's a few for sale in the classifieds here that sound pretty sturdy, in the NE area (MA, VT, etc) you might want to check out before dealers. The few that I've looked through are about $2k average more than an equivalent truck sold private-party

Al, I would spend the dime and call Ted Hils up in the Dothan area. He's got tons of deuces and has always bee very fair with me although I've never bought a whole truck.

I'd try Clarks in West VA, I had a great expeience with them with my humvee. I'd highly suggest them for a ROCK SOLID truck

Also you have John Windslow in the Carolinas somewhere. Many great reports of great things from him.

Not many else out there that I know of.

If you want something nice look into mcinfantrys deuce. He's got it listed in the classifieds I hear. He's in Baton Rouge..
