Emergency front wheel drive?

I've driven a jeep without the rear drive shaft, no problem. I don't think I'd try to drive one of my 5 tons that way, I'm not sure it would even move except on pavement.:shock:

Even the manual says that it is acceptable to operate the 5-ton with front drive only, just at reduced speed and load. THe only real difference is that there is no engine braking. (Like there is much anyway...)
