Engine Swap?

What engines can be swapped into the M-61 without severe modifications and will still bolt to the transmission in the truck? It has the LDT-465 in it right now. had the gasser in it but the LDT was swapped in after the gasser threw a rod.

I am tired of messing with the LDT in it right now. Im thinking the previous owner turned the pump up to much and its just worn out.

I have a good connection on a 250 cummins with a turbo for $900 with medium hours and a 290 big cam2 cummins with an allison with very low hours for $2000.

the search option on the forum is your best friend here, it will save the rehash of things that have been discussed and completed dozens of times prior to this thread. There are a lot of options, your only limitation is your wallet and hood clearance.
