So I got a Essex A698 a couple years ago, I have never used it as I have my ol faithful UMC that i love using. So today was the test day for the Essex, so pre use, pop the top and blow out the dust, and to my surprise there is no fan in the box.

I ran 33KW for almost 1 hour and never noticed any heat of any kind coming out of the box, one thing i dont like, each ph load must be added one at a time, and there is no on/off switch so you can set the load you want then drop the full load. Another dislike was there is only a common ground, no neutral and ground separate lugs.

I liked it, but it was a little deflating, there was nothing to see or feel from 33KW of energy evaporating to thin air. It would be perfect in a shop as I think a battery charger puts off more heat than this box did.
