Hi, I've been a bit lazy, and still haven't replaced the head gasket, but I will start this weekend. Also took the Radiator off, to get it flushed, and pressure tested etc.IMG_1235.jpg Giving her some extra TLC while she's of the road, checking tappets, new oil filter and engine oil. Leading me to my first question,,, just wondering what grade of engine oil is preferred by M37 SS members?? I'm Also replacing some of the weatherstrip window retainers, just wondering how these are best fitted?, or originally fitted to the cab window frame??? Screw, rivet? Any advice/help is appreciated:). Thanks

I run 15/40 diesel oil.

2nd my weatherstrip retainers are held on by short Phillips head screws

I also use the zinc additive, forgot to post that. It's a good idea for flat tappet engines with today's motor oils.

Thanks for the reply's, Well,, as stated, I did start on the head gasket today, that's that job doneView attachment 448942View attachment 448943 Also oil change, so drained her, checked the sump, and it was full with at least an inch of sludge, so a good clean is in order this week. One thing I did notice while the Rad was off, was the motor mount, (looking a bit tired) can anyone suggest a dealer that might have one for sale??? Thought while the Rad etc was off, it would be a good time to change the motor mount!!!
