Fire pit or wide wheels

My stepson's last day at the machine shop was today before he's off to Colorado for school. Five Dayton Rims followed him to work this morning and then one by one hopped up on the big lathe. When it was done I had 5- 3 1/2" pieces, ready to be part of a wide wheel.

Hmmm, real split rims! Good going! Or Daytons, half off.

I say firepits because I never did like having to balance out the Dayton wheels when tightening the wedges. Just my preference though I am a Budd man

The Lima South KOA I was at last night used Dayton rims as fire pit liners.
