Hello everyone! I picked up my new to me M1101 from GL in San Antonio Tx today! It's in great shape, has the bows, tarp, and everything functions as it should. I'll be towing it with my 2013 FJC and will most likely paint it to match the FJC. The forums have already been helpful to me in re wiring the plug to adapt to the 4 wire plug for my civi vehicle.

Now for pics of my new score!

Already putting it to work cleaning up the yard and then to tackle the shed......... gotta get rid of some of the classic Japanese motorcycles I've collected over the years!

it's all good except that is has had a repair:

you can see the patch there on the front. It looks like a standard repair job and will no doubt serve it's purpose. I had the chance to walk around the lot while at GL and there are several other trailers there that will be for sale soon that look really good. Some nice Deuces too and HMMWV's too!

That repair doesn't look bad at all.. Just trying to help out, it's a very touchy subject to talk about future/current auctions here. Weather it be GL, EBay or something of the sort. Where abouts in SanAntone are you located?? Feel free to PM me!

Ok, well everyone can look at their favorite site to find local and up-comming auctions. I watch the sites just like everyone else and thats as far as I'll go with that subject.

I'm actually located in Jourdanton, about 35 miles south of SA on HWY 16

Your not too far down the road from me then.

Harley, I looked at the 12" pintle riser, but can just see that thing twisting up like a pretzel while backing up over rough terrain or small obstacles. I noticed on another forum I frequent some owners have installed a channel mount on the trailer to help alleviate the rake, but I plan to keep the pintle hitch. The FJ still has the stock 265 tires and no lift so as soon as I get off my butt and install the coilover suspension it should help some too. I'll more than likely paint the outside to match the FJ and coat the bed with bed liner, I've thought about building a new set of bows and using a smaller canvas tarp to keep things covered up when I'm not using the original bows and tarp.

Overall, I like the trailer the way it is and don't see the need to re-invent the wheel on this one.

I bought my cover at mytarps.com " machine cover" Less than $100.00 shipped.

http://www.mytarp.com/machine-covers.aspx

Many fabrics and colors to choose.

a Lift and larger tires will help.
New 6 bolt spindles and matching " lighter rims and tires " and paint would look great.

Post a picture down the side of the FJ to the trailer I want to see how much wider it is.

Are you on the FJ forum?

Nice trailer. I have been watching SA for trailers and glad to know some M1101s are on deck. Thank for the tarp link harley, I think I will order one similar to yours (unless you want to sell me yours...:))

Are you saying the spindles on the M1101 can simply be swapped out? Does that mean electric brakes are possible to add without changing the axle?

The 1102 has Dexter tortion axles.
Dexter might have hubs that mount on easily, Not sure.
I would check with a dealer on that one.

The tarp was an easy order, measure length and width and how far down the side you want it to go.
You can specify gromet location or you may be able to get the web buckles mounted too.

Your welcome.
I liked their service.

Checked out the thread on FJ.
I see I posted there too. I am on several sites with trailers.

You're not going to twist and bend the riser. Your vehicle will probably give out before it does.

You would be surprised how easy they are to bend, Ill post pics of one I twisted.

I would have thought that trailer would be ALOT wider than that fj.

Nice trailer by the way.
