What is the purpose of the small fitting on the inside of the drivers door? Thanks

that's a good question mine had one I removed because it kept snagging my clothing

Looks like a grease fitting, but since my doors guts were removed prior to delivery, I am no help. Now, I would like to know.

its definitely not a grease fitting. It's more like a ball stud for a gas strut or support arm. Just my observation.

Thanks for the photo. I've looked at many of these trucks over the years and have never seen this on any of them. Would be nice to find one, or a few..
