flashing dummie lights?

when I use the snow plow controls on my 1008 the gen 1/2 lights flash, and when I put the heater on full blast the gen 1 light comes on dim........I have the correct 100 amp alts in both locations and they are only a couple months old. Are the lights flashing to indicate a load/ an over draw of power/ should I plan for a failure???

btw, I wired the stuff myself and it is correct in the diagrams, right down to the loom on all wires/inline fuses are also present where required.
