FMTV: CAT 3116 manifold leak

The exhaust manifold gasket on the 3116 CAT of my '94 LMTV was leaking. I noticed exhaust tracks in front of number 1 port, then at number 6 also. Apparently the 3116 manifold is prone to warping, according to the shop who did the work. The manifold was surfaced and reinstalled with new gasket and bolts and all is well.

BTW, the leakage was slight and I can tell no difference in driving without the leak.

Something to watch for when you have the cab up for maintenance.
