FMTV Low Mount Antenna

Anyone know anything about this mount? I saw some of these recently at Ft Sam Houston on M1078's. This appears to be a very recent development for the FMTV fov. There is supposed to be a sugar scoop or something attached to that plate that mounts the usual SINCGARS antenna.

The p/n on the part leads to NSN 5340-01-569-0223. The description of the NSN is SINCGARS for LVAD. So basically these are M1081 Airdrop only. Which makes sense as the usual FMTV antenna will prevent the cab from folding properly.

Wouldn't that interfere with the combat identification panels once they were in country?

You wouldn't be able to fold down the window section with anything mounted there. Maybe it's for the air drop cabs; they can install the antenna once the cab is buttoned up? Might be easier than installing a different mount on those cabs.
