I just won a deuce out of Fort Sill, Oklahoma. I'm about 480 miles to the south.

If someone could go down and see if it has oil and if it will start (if you have means of jumping it), I would be extremely grateful. What's your favorite beer?

If it will start, I plan to come up with a second driver and drive it back. If not, I'll see about paying to get it towed to an open air storage place nearby where I can work on it.

Like I said, auction just ended, so there's a little time on this. Any help or advice a fellow steelsoldier can offer would be appreciated.

The trucks at Ft SIll are not at the GL yard. They are at the base maintenance yard. No previews/inspections allowed.

You only get to see them when you pick them up.......And no working on them in the yard. Fluid checks only.

Plan on towbaring or loading yourself. No help with loading.

Since they are local trucks, the fluids have not been drained on the ones I have picked up.

There is a local wrecker company that can tow it off site so you can take your time with the inspection.

Sorry

Dang. aua

Happen to have that tow company's number? I guess I'll need them on standby if it has problems.

Thanks for the info.

OR...

If someone happens to have a deuce or something else big they wouldn't mind towing my deuce off-post with, that would be a huge help. Assuming it won't fire up and drive off under it's own power, that is.
