I think that the "Requirements for New Members" thread should be locked and contain ONLY the requirements for new (and current) members of the forum. I, for one, check this thread now and then to see if there have been any additions or changes to the rules, but find it rather tedious because of all the "Hi, I'm a newbie" and "welcome to the forum" posts which can run to 3 pages or more.
I have no problem with people introducing themselves, but I think that there should be an "Introductions" heading in which new members can tell us about themselves and that the "welcome to the site" posts be limited to one page. Of course we all welcome them to the site, but one page of members saying so seems sufficient to me.
Just an idea, of course. We all know what "opinions" are worth!
