Frame Color Search

I'm sure this has come up a few dozen times but doing a search did not produce positive results. Is the M37 frame, from the 50's, black or OD? Gloss or flat? Does the frame color extend out to the front bumper if black?

Over on the G741.org site this had been discussed a bit. As I remember, the frame would be a semi-gloss black out of the factory. Since Dodge didn't do the touch up painting at the end of the assy line, as in WWII, it should be black to the bumper.

Check over their and confirm all that. Might repost the question if you haven't already. I'm sure there are a few that will know.
