Frames

Would the M1008/M1028/M1031 frame be the same as that of a civilian K30? Have an 83 K30 dually with frame issues and it seems like a lot of beat up M1008s that get parted out for their axles still have good frames. thanks

I seem to recall the frames are the same between the military and civvie versions, but I couldn't prove it. You might want to check the ColoradoK5.com forums, someone there might be able to provide measurements.

the frame is the exact same.

I know the K30 is the same as the M1008, but is the dually the same or different?

the only difference might be in the rear spring hangers, but that would be different mounts, not a frame difference.

I've had both the K-30 dually and a D-30 and I can't recall any differences.
