I'm thinking of making up a set of covers so the front and rear wheels can be disengaged for towing or better fuel economy. The same covers will fit front or rear axles and will make an over the road trip more economical by removing the drive link. Disengaging is easy...just remove the front spline member and the rear axle shaft, then replace them with the cover...about 20 minutes of work. Why travel over the road with the front and (both) rear axles engaged? One can also take the short drive-shaft between the intermediate axle and rear axle off to save even more wear and tear. Please let me know and I'll make a few extra. Toby 574-835-8324.
