regarding shackle mounts(part#[FONT="]12342404[/FONT]) on the basic front bumper.
What is considered the "correct" up/down mounting direction?
And why?
I have found many images of them mounted both ways.
even found and image where on one bumper both mounts were installed in opposite direction from each other.
One end of the shackle is longer and so actually extends beyond the flat face of the bumper when installed in the downward direction.
That is how mine were installed "originally".
However, they look much more centered(up/down) on the bumper when the larger end of the mount is pointing up.
