fuel additives for the 3116 cat engine

Hi... I am new to MV's and I have bought a 1993 AM General M109A4 with a 3116 Cat engine.Does anyone know if the addition of ashless 2cycle motor oil makes a good fuel additive as low sulphur diesel fuel is quite dry. If so how much or is there anything better.

I run two cycle oil in mine (gallon a tank), and diesel treatment with cetane booster in the winter. It all runs the same either way.
