Fuel line safety check!!!

All,

Just a reminder to all, especially those with winches to go check your frame to IP fuel line. It is one of 2 rubber lines on the M35A2. Mine was rubbing on the PTO drive shaft, and in another trip or 2, probably would of sprouted a leak, which would not of been good. It's part #20 in the picture.

I've seen that line dryrot and leak on dueces that did lots of sitting.

When I bought my truck, it was dryrotted, the line had a metal tag on it with an '82 date code I believe.

It and the new one rub on the PTO driveshaft, I have it wrapped up and zip tied with a piece of rubber feul hose and I check it frequently.

Good point Mark, I keep parts for a replacement with me on my trips, was concerned about the effect of biodiesel/veggie oil, but no problems yet.

It's a 3/8 fuel line with standard fittings, easy to make up a spare.....Inverted flare on one end and "regular" (SAE 45°) flare with a swivel on the other.
