fuel pump compatibility

Can a fuel pump for an LDS 465-1A, work on an LDT 465-1C? Are the parts, like the pumping head, FDC and the internals the same and it's just a metering/timing difference..if any?

I would say yes, because I had one gov. rebuilt LDT465-1C which came with an LDS465-1A IP (part# LDS465-1A 10951116, model# PSB6A-90EH-5828 A1, head# HD 90101 AR) and working well.
But according to the manuals the part#s are different as well as the heads. What exactly changes , I wish to know. Most prob. the fuel rate of any 465 IP can be adjusted to cover the whole spectrum of all models.

there are lots of very small differences, but they will work just fine. may require resetting fuel rate.

Hope not to beat a dead horse, but, I understand that I could put a lds IP and turbo off a 5 ton and have a lds motor.
