Fuel Tank Strap Bolt Broken

I dropped the tank today and a bolt on my fuel tank strap broke. Any suggestions how to fix this turkey?

If I have to buy new straps do I buy them for a 25 or 30 gallon tank?

If original tank 25gal. if upgraded to 31gal. get the 31 strap.

Cut the bolt off and weld a new bolt is place of the stud. No need to replace the entire strap. It is a 7/16" bolt/stud. The hex head will give you something to weld to. It will work.

New straps are relatively inexpensive, between $21 and $25 on Rockauto.com. Cheap insurance to make certain that you don't leave an important piece of your truck behind you on the road.

Assuming this is an M1009 being discussed -

The tanks measure approximately:
25 Gallon - 28" x 28" x 11"
31 Gallon - 28" x 28" x 13"
