gear reduction starter

i have a brandnew gear reduction starter that will not work with the Manual flywheel, im asking 120 shipped

Why won't it work? I was under the impression the starters were interchangable, except they use different length braces.

does your manual flywheel have a different number of teeth?
or could it have been put on backwards?

i think tomarrow i will go count the teeth on it, i know the flywheel was put on right, i could not get this thing to engage right
