Gen Set ID - WWII?

I was on the local radio Dial-A-Trade plugging MVs when I got a call from a guy tearing down a building. He said it has some Military stuff in it including an old gen set, and that if I wanted it all I could have it for $40, well I couldn't pass up a $40 deal so below is what I got for the $40. The plates are missing on the Gen set anyone have an idea of what it is?

My guess is the 50's to 70's I dont think it is WWII..
