Glow Plug Problems

Hi Gang

Just got some of my glow plugs out of my M1009. They are brand new from Diesel RX and 3 out of the first 4 are bad. This is very disheartening since they have only been in there for 200 miles. The mechanic helping me says the module is bad as well as the limiter switch. I called around and found a new module that is from Diesel Rx but could not find anyone who knows anything about something called the limiter switch which the mechanic says I need. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Have you read the forums in the last 4 months, since you joined?

There have been some lengthy glow plug discussions in the CUCV forums i the last couple of months. There is no limiter switch that I know of. If one plug goes bad the voltage then rises on the rest. If two go bad the voltage rises even higher, see the pattern? If the card is bad and caused them to stay on too long then as soon as one went the rest are right behind. Do a search for the resistor bypass.
