Picked up a runner from the auctions. Somewhere along the line they half ass converted it to 12v
seems to have 12v starter and alt and possibly the light bulbs as well..
that all good but the heater motor is original 24v and I suspect the lift pump is as well. I can hear it running. Truck runs good but I question whether running a 24v lift pump on 12v is a good idea ?
truck is non turbo.
i have a 24v starter so I would need an alt to switch it back.
alsomit has original 24v flasher unit and seems to work on 12v.
the alt is a leech Neville. Might be easier to find an aftermarket 24v alt and convert the truck back ?? Or leave it ?

Delco 24V alternators are much less expensive, smaller, and I would believe more reliable. A few decades of development can't hurt. Wolverine Technologies sells a nice kit with all the brackets and bits.

Hmmmm...just thinking aloud but since it's a 12v truck now, I could easily can the in tank lift pump and put a Fass system on and lose the canister fuel filters as well....
