If the glow plugs are dead will the GP selenoid still make the click noise as it transfers power to the plugs?

I replaced the card a while back with a temp switch. I can't hear the click now when I throw the switch so I am thinking my plugs are dead. Just want to get ideas before tearing it all apart.

check the output side of the solenoid to see if you get power coming out. When my solenoid went out it would still click but no power on the output. but it could also be bad plugs
