Who is the resident expert on removing/refurbishing/replacing halftrack armor?

I have several questions and I know virtually nothing about them. Would prefer to have someone who knows about these vehicles PM me with a phone number that I can call them to discuss this.

Thanks

Visit Halftracks.com and talk to Gary. He is a member here, I think G102. The armor is very basic, undo the 3/8 NF countersunk screws and remove the pieces. Missing pieces can be easily made with 1/4 steel plate. But let me tell you it takes FOREVER to drill and countersink all those holes.

You might also go over to G503 and halftrackinfo.com, Lots of knowloge on both of those sites. You can check my thread on My M3. But I will tell you that you will need a large heavy screw driver or a draglink tool, maybe an impact flat blade driver. An air impact wrench. Torch or someway to heat the nut. Also an air chisel or a large cold chisel or someway to split the nut. You want to save the armor bolts if possible. Repro bolts are starting to become available. It also works best to have 2 people.
