In Tampa the big Halloween event is called "Guavaween."
Tampa's unofficial nickname is the "Big Guava" - a tropical fruit loved by *some* of the locals.
The event is not unlike Mardi Gras-only with Halloween costumes, and takes place in the Latin quarter of Tampa called Ybor City.
The night of revelry kicks off with a parade called the Mama Guava Stumble.
This year I was "hired" by the Lion Club to carry their social krewe called "Ye Notorious Krewe of the Roaring Lions."
As you will see they have an Indiana Jones theme.
So my lovely girlfriend and I donned our fedoras and carried the krewe through the parade route in M35-style.
Enjoy!
