hard starting tip that gets over looked

My 09 would run great until I would park it for a day, then it would start and run for 5 sec then die. I would have to blead the injection pump. I thought I had a bad ip. Doing a lot of reading and talking with mechanics, I figured out my gas cap was not venting.
I soaked the gas cap in wd40 and pushed rhe valve open and closed until it would let air in but not out.
Its running great now, so if you go to fuel and hear a loud hissing when removing cap or have performance issues on a full tank, check your fuel cap before you start checking for more complicated fuel issues.

Its been covered ; http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?3609-Air-in-Fuel-System&highlight= The underlying issue was the fuel filter base pressure sensor o-ring allowing air to be sucked into system. Replaced with new filter base. Still have the hole in my fuel cap.

Thank for the tip. I have a new tank, new sender, new lines new lift pump, and new spin on filter set up, and every now and then it will miss a little I will be looking at my cap soon. Thank you
