Harmonic Balancer Depth

Anybody know the correct depth I'm supposed to install a new harmonic balancer. Is it OK to get it real close to the proper point and then use the bolt to find the correct depth?

There are many thread on this subject, there is a tool you can make to push the balancer in place. Some will hammer it in with a soft mallet, but I myself just made the tool as I have a welder.

Longer bolt nut and washer will push it on, not fan of the hammer method.

I used a 2x4 that was about the same size as balancer and tapped it on... then the bolt and washer will draw it up the rest of the way... I posted a thread here on the R&R of balancer and posted pictures toboot! Have fun...its not that bad of a job!!
