Is anyone running headsets in their trucks so they will have hearing protection and be able to talk to the people in the cab with out all of the noise?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
The wireless Peltor Powercom can be used with other vehicles without a radio?Peltor Powercoms. As many sets as you can afford and wireless. Also excellent for inter-vehicle communications for convoys and ground guides.
How do you mount the VIC-1 equipment? Any photos?I have a VIC 1 in mine as well. 2 stations in the cab, one in the bed.
Steve Hanley out of TX is a great guy to work with getting a VIC. He sends you all the parts to it from one end to the other and bench tests the whole thing before he ships it. I have had nothing but good luck with him.
tc0654@mesh.net is his business e-mail.
Yes they can. Basically they are FRS radios wrapped up in a noise cancelliing headset. Can also communicate with standard walkie talkie FRS radios too. I took 4 sets to the GA Rally and on our convoy up we had a pretty decent comm setup in the convoy. Those in civy rides used handhelds. The wireless Peltor Powercom can be used with other vehicles without a radio?
Anyone have pics of there cargo bed setups for the Vic-1? Was thinking about doing this with a 3 or 4 station.
