Heater High/Off/Low switch wiring question
I tried to get into the school for the mechanically challenged, but they wouldn't let me in. So, I'm relatively new into the MV hobby and really appreciate your help. I've spent most of the morning reading the forum posts on installing the hot water heater into a deuce. I've looked at the wiring number list and schematic that Mr. Doghead posted in a thread, and I now have a couple of questions that I hope the members can help me with.
Here is what I am looking at - an extract from the wiring schematic.
Here my questions:
With wiring the high/off/low switch for the hot water personnel heater, (1) it looks like power get supplied to the middle terminal on the switch - is that correct? (2) it looks like the resistor is only attached inline coming out of the switch on the low side - is that correct? (3) It looks like power for this switch comes from a circuit breaker on the firewall, and then gets routed back into the cab - is this correct?
My truck's heater is not wired up like this at all, so I want to check before I change anything.
