Help with 6CTA8.3 Coolant Draining

Hi,
One of the aftercool water return tube hoses has started to leak on my M929A2. I am thinking about replacing everything. The hoses, tubes, and elbows. Has anyone had to do this to their truck? The TM manual says to drain the block to complete this repair. Do you think I need to drain the whole system? What is the procedure to drain the engine coolant from the block of a 6CTA8.3? The TM manual says to open the drainvalve on the aftercooler and radiator to fully drain the system. Is that really all it takes?
Thanks

Yo udon't even need to do that. Just drain it from the radiator. If you are doing 1 or 2 hoses, might as well do them all. When you refill it, DO open the bleed on the aftercooler, you'll have a big air pocket if you don't.
