History request

Hi there, I am possibly buying a HMMWV. The VIN# is 545026. I am wondering how I go about finding this vehicles history. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not a 85, or it's not that VIN... One of them is wrong.. Where are you reading that VIN from?

This vehicle is at a car lot approximately 500 miles away from me. I asked the salesman for the vin # and that is what he read out to me. I repeated that # and he said it was correct. This HMMWV is being advertised as a 1985. Attached are a few photos, not sure if they will help.

Using the RUK number and Serial number...

My 86 Vin starts with....0119xx.
That Vin number is not an 85, but the left rear fender does have the data plate that mid 80's Humvees have..
