I’ve got hot engine air coming up through the small slot on the parking brake. Is there a way to insulate that? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I found this normal, there are exhaust pipes, plus the engine itself near. With the need for the brake lever to move both above and below, I never bothered to see if I could seal it..

It is always good to be aware, especially if you had an exhaust leak, you could be pumping carbon monoxide and dioxide into the cab. If you find yourself getting headaches or getting tired without obvious reasons, remember this and other openings. Usually not a problem since the cabs aren't that airtight, but you never know... I plugged many of my holes with furniture grade plugs or automotive firewall plugs.
