How important is this thing?

My driver side had one loose in the cab wall behind the rear wall panel. The passenger side was missing.

They appear to mount in the wall of the door opening (covered when the door is closed). On the missing side, I would just have an opening, which probably needs to be covered so water does not get into the wall area.

Is this what your talking about?

If so, yep I have one missing myself on the passengers side. The drivers side is still there.

Trying to find it in the TM's, can't find it as of yet.

Well, I looked again and found it this time in the TM under Cab, "cab drain plugs".
The parts TM for the M1083, TM-9-2320-366-24P-1, figure 267, #3. Part #12417562, "VALVE,CHECK,CAB VEN".

Not really sure what it does, except plugs the access hole.

Hope it helps, some.

Tom.
